Each of the two shoulder ribs has three of these service indicators. If the indicators on one of the shoulder ribs wear faster than those on the other shoulder rib, you may need to get additional servicing.

This is a unique feature that you won’t find in the majority of tire models out there. The service indicators keep you visually informed and eliminate the chances of critically damaging the tires. If you properly maintain your tires and frequently rotate them, the indicators on both sides will wear out at a similar pace.

Last but not least, Crosstek 2 is highly durable and will outlive most of the competition in its price range. It is backed by an impressive treadwear warranty, which is based on the speed rating and whether it is LT or non-LT.

All the variants come with a treadwear warranty which covers at least 50,000 miles. That just goes to show Nitto’s confidence in their products.

And that’s not all; this exceptional tire is available in various size options, ranging from 16 to 22 inches.

It is a significant upgrade compared to its predecessor, the Crosstek model, and it performs exceptionally well on dry as well as wet terrains.

What Could’ve Been Better?

After using the Crosstek 2 tires extensively on a couple of different terrains, there is no significant problem that I encountered. The only gripe I have with this tire model is its price.

It is not the most affordable tire model out there. Although it packs a lot of excellent features and performs well, I feel like its cost makes it suitable only for a select few customers. So if you don’t have a lavish budget for replacement tires, you may find the Crosstek 2 to be too expensive.

Driving and maintaining an SUV, CUV or truck translates to considerable maintenance work and expenses. As such, vehicle owners are always on the lookout for cheaper replacement tires.

Verdict

Nitto is a reputed brand, and the Crosstek 2 is one of its best models available today in the all-season radial tire segment.

You may find it to be a bit expensive, but it has enough credentials to back up that higher price tag. In fact, its higher price reflects the top-notch quality and longevity it provides. So my recommendation is a definite buy.
